Landscapes 1 contains two long form improvisations. My aim with these recordings was to allow each sound its own space, fully exploring the sonic potential of each instruments physicality. I wanted to enjoy the attack, sustain, and decay of every note, in order to hear the breath of it. I wanted to create the all encompassing closeness felt whilst walking in specific landscapes during specific weathers. A third piece, Mount Famine in the Snow, yet to be recorded, completes the route.
